Emptying Gaza is an old Zionist dream

Israel’s prime minister calls it Donald Trump’s ‘bold vision for Gaza’. Clearing the Strip of its Palestinian inhabitants is, in fact, an age-old Zionist dream. But in the face of huge pressure, they are holding firm. ■ ‘First you give them the option of moving voluntarily. Then you bring in the bulldozers.’
