HEBRON, November 03, 2019 (WAFA) — Dozens of Palestinians students sustained suffocation on Sunday after Israeli forces fired gas canisters near a complex of schools in the city of Hebron, south of the West Bank, according to sources.

WAFA correspondent said that dozens suffered from suffocation due to inhaling the toxic gas fired at them by the Israeli soldiers.

He said that the students who suffocated were treated at the scene.

Schools in the southern neighborhood of Hebron are frequently targeted by Israeli soldiers and settlers.

Harassment of Palestinians in that area is a daily occurrence, particularly following the departure of the international monitoring team, the Temporary International Presence in Hebron (TIPH), in February this year after Israel refused to extend the team’s mandate.
