Regional War – perfect timing to expel the Palestinians

The rabbis of religious Zionism say this explicitly: There can be no ethnic cleansing without an all-out war (one million were expelled in the wars of 48 and 67), and there can be no comprehensive ethnic cleansing now without a major war

Opportunists like Netanyahu, and nincompoops like Gantz and Galant, only react to events without any strategy. Therefore, those who determine the political direction in the Israeli government are those ministers who have a structured worldview and a clear vision to which they aspire. If the “miracle” of October 7 was a major fillip to religious Zionism, imagine what a regional war with burning buildings in the heart of our cities could do.

There can be no ethnic cleansing without an all-out war (one million were expelled in the wars of 48 and 67), and there can be no comprehensive ethnic cleansing without a major war. The rabbis of religious Zionism say this explicitly. Here is Eliezer Melamed, head of the Har Bracha settlement yeshiva [Jewish seminary] who’s a state employee:

“Therefore, it’s only after we expel all those who openly identify with the war against us, whether they are inside or outside the Green Line, that will we be able to offer the remaining population the real choice: live here as residents according to the principles of morality and justice embodies in the Jewish tradition definition of a resident [without voting rights] or immigrate to another country.

“All these things are meant to apply in the framework of limited conflicts, but in war the rules are different: we do not examine each person as an individual, instead we relate to the community that is fighting against us as a whole, and then, in addition to striving to win a battle of war, the rules of “they shouldn’t reside in your country” change, the entire population must be expelled, and only those who are known to have supported us in practice would be allowed to remain.”

(For those looking for links to reality — among the graduates of this yeshiva are the commander of the Judea Brigade, Yishai Rosilio, and the head of the legal department of the Kohelet Forum, Aviad Bakshi)

Smotrich’s “Triumph Plan” is based on the same logic but is couched in a more diplomatic language. But even according to it, only a willingness to live under an Apartheid regime will earn Arabs a licence to remain in the country, and for the rest, “in war as in war.” But that’s not all. “We have not elaborated on this here,” Smotrich writes, “but the Triumph Plan needs to be accompanied by a variety of plans to improve the demographic balance.”

So right here and now the plan comes true. For those who advocate the Triumph Plan,” the escalation vis-à-vis Iran and the constant striving to present Israelis with a sense of existential threat are part of a plan, not a mishap. The Messiah is at the door and the tremours are already felt.

And the Messiah’s donkey? They write articles against Judith Butler and rebuke the handful of Israelis who seek to stop the madness.
